| 1 | 1.0 Welcoming speech by YDP PTA 1.1 YDP PTA welcomed all the members. 1.2 Dato’ Thong requested Mr. Kok to update on the current issues that are happening in the school. 1.3 Mr. Kok welcomed all the members. a) Quality Time conducted for PMR,SPM and IGSCE students Mr.Kok briefed on Quality Time program. Quality Time is based for students who will be sitting for the external examination. Mr. Kok mentioned about the Score A program based for PMR and SPM students to enhance and improve their revision skill. Moreover, students will be exposed to other district trial papers – Perak, Selangor and so on. He informed that PMR trial just over and the analysis of overall performs. He thanked PTA for sponsoring 30 rims of paper. b) Actual examination date Mr.Kok announced the internal examination date. PMR: 5th October – 12th October 2010 SPM: 23rd November – 20th December 2010 Checkpoint: 29th October – 30th October 2010 IGSCE: 19th October – 15th November 2010 c) Homevisit Mr. Kok informed that there will be no homevisit on October and has brought forward the October homevisit to November school holiday which starts earlier on 16th November 2010. Furthermore, as discuss at the APEM meeting on 7th July 2010, 11 am - regards to outing, parents are informed that only on every first Sunday of each month are allowed for outing. So far, not all parents are cooperative. Even some parents, use invalid reason for homevisit and he request parents not to misuse it and appeal for outing in proper procedure. 1.4 Mr. Siow welcomed all the PTA members and thanked for sponsoring 30 rims of paper for Quality Time. Furthermore, he requested PTA to sponsor financially for Quality Time. 1.5 Several issues on previous minutes were requested by Dato’ Thong to be added in next minutes. 1.6 The minute was proposed by Mr. Wiston and was seconded by Ms. Huda. | |
| 2 | 2.0 Bureau Report 2.1 Academic and Displine 2.1.1 Dato’ Thong analyzed the PMR trial result and informed that students are very weak in Maths, Geography, History and Bahasa Melayu. He suggested that teachers to pick one or two students who scored excellent mark in that particular subject and teach those students who are weak in that subject. Moreover, he suggested teachers’ help by giving extra classes to those students are weak. 2.2 Boarding and Food 2.2.1 Dato’ Thong suggested that the boarding should allow parents to bring food from outside for their children and day outing should be for 3 hour. This suggestion was agreed by all PTA members. Moreover, PTA insists that Saturday and Sunday, parents must be able to bring meal for their children and be back before 8pm (before the prep starts). Mr. Kok told there still some parents bringing back their children late and buying meals for other students as well. Dato’ Thong suggested that if parents didn’t follow the rules, maybe they should not bring their children for outing for the whole semester. Madam Sybil suggested maybe the parents can buy meal for other students on certain occasionally, for example: on their children’s’ birthday. Mr. Wong requested the school to prepare a proper guideline for parents regards to the day outing during Saturdays and Sundays. (to be discuss in the next meeting) 2.2.2 Dato’ Thong informed that PTA had told the school not to use frozen chicken and he heard that the kitchen is still using frozen chicken. (to be discuss in the next meeting) 2.3 Sports and Co-Curriculum 2.3.1 Nil 2.4 Spiritual/ Program/ Koperasi 2.4.1 Dato’ Thong informed that PTA will sponsor RM 1000 and he personally will sponsor RM 1000 for the satay payment on Hari Raya High Table Dinner. 2.4.2 Ms. Huda welcomed all PTA members to attend to Hari Raya High Table Dinner which falls on 25th September 2010. | School Management – Mr. Haridass Ms. Keetanjaly |

| 4 | 4.0 Any Other Business 4.1 Dato’ Thong emphasized on the school blazer that was suggested last year by the PTA committee, Mdm. Sybil. Mdm. Sybil informed that her son Adam Erwan Shah knows the design. She informed the blazer will be in darkish grey and will suit for both HIBS and Saleha students. The design of the blazer will be propose on the next coming up PTA meeting. (to be discuss in the next meeting) 4.2 Dato Thong and Mr. Winston suggested that the food management should be under the school and not directly under APHEM as the school is encountering with problem related to food. Mdm. Sybil informed as well the laundry. (to be discuss in the next meeting) 4.3 Dato’ Thong requested that PTA will sponsor payment money for one selected teacher for Quality Time. He requested PTA Secretary to prepare the details on the next meeting. 4.4 Regards to student exchange program suggested by Mr. Aw, PTA agree with Mr. Aw suggestion. Dato’ Thong handed over to the school management to discuss. However, he requested to include boys too for the student exchange program in the next year. 4.5 Dato’ Thong asked the teachers whether the water heaters are fixed and Ms. Lee replied the water heaters are fixed but not in all floors. 4.6 Mr. Winston informed that the school website is not updated. Mr. Kok informed that the school is working on it. 4.7 Dato’ Thong concluded the meeting by requesting all the teachers to help each and other in creating excellent students via academic and develop themselves as Government planned to have International schools in year 2012. 4.8 Dato’ Thong told that Next meeting will be informed through PTA Secretary. | Mdm.
